10 take sail on Gladys
We had a truly wonderful evening last week, with great food and great company, aboard the Thames Sailing Barge, Gladys.
AB Agri very kindly invited the 10 team to an evening’s cruise along the River Thames to celebrate recent project achievemments.
The Gladys is over 100 years old and has been retored to allow her to continue to sailing and racing. Cranfield Brothers, Ipswich flour millers, purchased Gladys in 1905 when she regularily carried 140 tonnes of grain between London, Tilbury and Rochford under sail. In 1950 her first engine was installed. Gladys became part of ABF plc in 1972 and continued trading for two years before being converted to carry 12 passangers.

Pure Gym are set to open their doors to the Glasgow public this month so we’ve been helping them spread the word.
Chapter Eight branding
Whilst flicking through the pages of The Drum Yearbook 2010 it was great to see our branding for Chapter Eight in all its glory.
The Leeds based digital agency approached us back in 2009 to look at creating a new brand mark and communications package for them.
With a wealth of clients such as Lyle & Scott, Berry’s Jewellers, Gulf Oil UK and Gatecrasher it was a great project to be involved with and we’re really pleased to see the brand standing out from the crowd.
“10 Associates stood out for me from many other quality branding specialists, as branding is at the heart of all of their work, and going through the process of developing a new identity for Chapter Eight really brought home to me just what we needed to do to create a more recognisable brand… the result is stunning!”

Kinds words from Pure Gym
“After arriving at Pure Gym I quickly identified the need to find a more creative design team to transform our brand identity. I began my search through what seemed like an endless list of companies, but it was apparent from day one that 10 Associates would be the clear winner. Not only was their work extremely refreshing, dynamic & innovative, but the team won me over with their passion & enthusiasm. We have now been working together for just over a month & the artwork they have provided me with is simply outstanding & fills the original brief perfectly. I am very excited about what the future holds between 10 and Pure Gym, and cannot wait to start work on the next campaign. A big thank you once again to the team for giving us marketing material that we are proud to show off.”

A fantastic experience with 10 Associates
“I really can’t say enough about the fantastic experience I’ve had with 10 Associates. Apart from being an absolute pleasure to work with, I have been consistently amazed at the creativity and care with which they have handled our brand. 10 were chosen to help with the development of our brand from a long list of excellent agencies, and I am more convinced every day and with every new piece of material that we made the right decision.”

Brand at a glance for AB Agri
In the final phase of this current brand development project for AB Agri we delivered ‘Brand at a glance’, a printed piece designed to educate AB Agri colleagues why their business strength comes from presenting a united business mind. Brand Guidelines are in their final stages which detail how certain graphical elements should be used and which will ensure future communications across the company are consistent and in line with the core values of the business.
This project is just the start but it is seen that 10 have given AB Agri the tools with which to rejuvenate the company’s image and improve internal communications. Issue 2 of ‘Six’ in now in the pipeline and has been received well across the company.
Other elements in this project were:
Six magazine, AB Agri people photography, Six reasons why.

10 Associates Brandschool™ typically covers areas as follows:
What is a brand?
It sounds simplistic but you’d be surprised how many people associate the word brand with a logo, this is only one tiny aspect of what a brand should be, recognising this is the first step to having a successful brand.
Why brand?
This outlines how businesses can use branding to create equity.
What’s behind a brand?
How to create, maintain & grow your brand.
How far will your brand go?
Giving good and bad examples of brand extension & stretching. Once you live and breath your core brands, other opportunities may present themselves and help you grow into different markets.
Case Studies / Examples of savvy branding.
This section does exactly what is says on the tin, and helps attendees understand the power of branding and the consequences of getting it wrong.
Bitesize Brandschool™ presenter
Jill Peel the Creative Director at 10 Associates would present Brandschool™ with assistance from other members of the 10 team.
Jill has over 20 years industry experience, when it comes to Branding she’s the Godfather! Working on big household brand names such as Virgin & Sony but also working with SME’s, helping to raise their own brand awareness and clearly defining their brand positioning.
Content
Every business should be aware of how branding can benefit their business.
The word ‘brand’ has become one of the most over-used, and misused, in today’s business lexicon. A brand is not just a logo. A logo is an element of a brands visual identity.
Through this bite size portion of Brandschool™ we would aim to advise attendees on how their own brand can help them grow and create equity, giving them the tools to assess their own brand and a strategy of how to refocus the brand to the target market.
Target Audience
Directors / Business Owners, Marketing Managers, Comms Personnel and Sales Managers would all benefit from Brandschool™.
Timings
Brandschool™ is typically either a half or full day depending upon the requirements of the client, however for the purposes of this event is to offer a digestible chunk of our workshop which would last around 2 hours.
